May Newsletter 2021

The month of May seems to have sneaked up on us without us really knowing it!

It’s been so nice to be able to socialise outside in the last few weeks since restrictions have eased a bit more – especially with the lovely weather we’ve been having. With all this sunshine and being able to finally catch up with friends and family after months apart, I hope everyone is feeling happier and more excited about the months ahead. At Flamingo, we certainly are!

With lots of people returning to offices, and others coming back from furlough, online marketing channels seem to be blossoming into life once more. One thing that we’ve been focusing on for many of our clients in the last few months has been building their online presence – whether with website refreshes, email marketing campaigns, social media channels or lead generation.

So, in this month’s newsletter, I wanted to share with you some of the ways in which smart digital marketing tools can really elevate your online presence – and boost your business.

6 reasons why your business isn’t growing

This comprehensive guide was one of the first guides I ever wrote when I started the business nearly three years ago. At the time, it helped a lot of business owners, whether they were just starting out, changing direction or looking to grow their company.

I thought that now would be the perfect time to revisit the guide and to share it with you – not only is it still as relevant as it ever was, but it might help people to recover and rebound from what has otherwise been a very difficult year for so many people.

It’s packed full of tips and tricks to help you bring in new leads, build your brand awareness and nurture your client base.

Using LinkedIn to build your personal brand

LinkedIn is the place to be for all aspiring business professionals. No platform is better for sharing your knowledge, gaining insights and seizing growth opportunities.

In today’s social media-obsessed world, these opportunities can be incredibly valuable, with personal branding playing a huge role in your business’ success.

So, how can you build your personal brand on LinkedIn, increase your followers and entice new clients by establishing yourself as a thought leader?

We’ve put together seven simple steps to get you started.

LinkedIn tools to elevate your business

There’s no doubt that consistent, engaging organic posting and having a well-built profile gets you off to a great start on LinkedIn. But there’s also so much more you can do with it.

LinkedIn, its Sales Navigator package and a host of brilliant software add-ons mean you can use the tool in an even smarter way, managing your entire client life cycle from awareness, all the way through to building your database.

We’re currently managing the LinkedIn accounts of 12 of our clients. With the fantastic tools available to us, we’re able to manage (and automate!) collecting and engaging with new contacts and potential leads. Our clients are actively connecting their target audiences. This naturally leads to conversations, enquiries, call bookings and confirmed work, all managed by the software and our team.

It’s a great example of the power of LinkedIn in action! Here are some of our favourite success stories so far…

One of our financial services clients has connected with over 3,500 solicitors in less than a year. Within this time, she’s gone from one of the lowest-performing advisors to the highest-performing – with plenty of new business leads to boot. We’re now working on the profile of one of her colleagues, to hopefully match the success!

Another client in the ecology sector has been using the service for just over a month now. In the first 4 weeks of running our process, he received 7 solid enquiries through LinkedIn! He also has a consistently high connection rate of 39% (our clients’ average connection rates vary between 25% and 45%) and regular new conversations with potential clients and partners.

We also use the process ourselves! At Flamingo, 70% of our new business comes from this process (the rest being from referrals and email marketing). We’ve recently taken on several new clients who we’ve been introduced to as part of this method.

Are you ready to learn more?
